Interior Remodeling & Restoration
Room and kitchen remodels, flooring, drywall and interior painting, and the interior restoration that follows water coming through a storm-damaged roof.
We got into interior work the way most roofing companies that do it get into it: a storm puts water through a roof, and the homeowner is left with a repaired roof and a ruined ceiling and no obvious idea who fixes the second part.
Now it is a service in its own right, and it runs both ways — planned remodels as well as restoration.
Restoration work
When water has come through a ceiling, the visible stain is the smallest part. Insulation holds water, drywall swells and loses its strength, and texture and paint will not hold over a surface that is still damp.
Restoration means opening it up, removing what is wet, letting the cavity dry properly, then replacing insulation and drywall, matching the existing texture, and painting. Matching texture is the part that decides whether a repair is invisible or obvious from the doorway, and it is worth taking the time on.
If flooring took water, that gets addressed too. So does trim, and cabinetry where it is affected.
Remodels
Kitchens and individual rooms, flooring throughout, drywall and texture, trim and paint. A remodel is a sequencing problem more than anything — the order the trades go in decides whether the job runs three weeks or six — and having one company running the whole thing rather than coordinating four subcontractors yourself is most of the value.
We will walk the space with you, agree the scope in writing before anything starts, and tell you honestly what a given change involves. Moving a wall, moving plumbing and moving electrical are three different sizes of project, and it is better to know that at the start.
Interior painting
Interior work runs the range from a single room to a whole house. It also frequently follows water damage — a hailstorm that came through the roof leaves stained ceilings and swollen drywall, and paint is the last step after the drywall is repaired and textured. We do all of that rather than painting over a problem.
Inside, prep means covering floors and furniture, taking down or masking fixtures, patching and sanding, and cutting clean lines at the ceiling and trim. We clean up at the end of each day, because you still have to live there.
We will walk the job with you and agree what is in scope before starting, including which surfaces are being painted and which are being left.
What to expect
Interior work happens in a house you are still living in. We contain dust, protect floors and the path in and out, and clean at the end of each day. There will still be days that are disruptive, and we will tell you in advance which ones those are.
When to call
Call when a ceiling or wall has water staining after a storm, when a room needs putting back together after a leak has been fixed, or when you have a remodel in mind and want one contractor for the whole thing.
Give us a call or send a message through the contact form, and we will get back to you the same business day.
